The classes are safe and suitable for beginners, intermediate and more advanced practitioners. Modifications on Yoga asanas and Pilates exercises are always offered for those who wish to experience a lighter practice. Always consult your physician before engaging in any kind of physical practice.
We begin all the classes with warm-ups (flexions, extensions, rotations) targeting the main joints in the body to help prepare the body and mind for the practice. Then, we dive into the practice. If the class include Reiki, the last 20 minutes is reserved for the channeling of Reiki.
Private class (1 person): $60
Semi-private (2 people): $30 per person
Group (3+ people): $20 per person
The Qigong exercises are from the Shibashi series. Shibashi means 18 movements and their intention is to promote movement, meditation and breathing. We practice Qigong as a mean of developing the relationship between mind and body, melting tensions and relaxing. With Qigong, we cultivate our Qi (vital energy). When our Qi is strong, we feel and look vibrant and healthy.
We go through a nice Vinyasa flow, focusing on the asanas and finding the best way to transition from one asana to the next. Through the flow, we hold poses for a few breaths and we aim to move and synchronize the transitions with the breathing. Vinyasa Yoga is one of the most popular contemporary styles of yoga.
The class aims to improve your overall flexibility. We hold each posture for 3 minutes focusing on the breathing in order to go deeper into the posture. Unlike a traditional Yin Yoga class in which props are used to support the posture, we hold it actively without using props, adding an active-passive balance into the practice while still getting the benefits of this style of Yoga.
The class includes a selection of mat Pilates exercises from the 6 neutral positions. We aim to do each exercise adhering to the Pilates principles of concentration, control, centering, flowing, precision and proper breathing in order to improve flexibility, increase muscle strength and tone and particularly, strengthen the core muscles around the abdomen, hips, lower back and bottom. A regular Pilates practice can help to reshape the body and improve mental health.
In this workshop, we take a step by step comprehensive approach in order to build a successful and sustainable meditation practice. Before even thinking about clearing the mind or exploring different mediation techniques, we focus on building a solid foundation, first by looking at the ideal physical, environmental and functional conditions that could make a difference between a successful practice and an unsuccessful one.
We practice mat Pilates exercises in the 6 neutral position incorporating Qigong movements. We focus on the main pillars of Pilates adding an intention to activate the lower Dantian, the energy center located 3 fingers below the navel in order to strengthen the core and bring a fresh wave of vigor and vitality into the practice.
We go through a nice Vinyasa flow incorporating Qigong movements that integrate seamlessly into the flow providing a nice flow and smooth transitions. Through the flow as well as with the Qigong movements, we aim to align and move with the rhythm of the breathing synchronizing the movements with the breathing.
Standing exercises or sitting on the floor may not be possible for different reasons. In that case, chair Yoga-Qigong is the best work out for the muscles and the best way to keep the joints in the body supple. If standing for short periods is okay, we use the chair as support for balance. Otherwise, we remain seated for the length of the class.
Reiki can be included for any of the classes I offer. When Reiki is included, the practice shortens to 40 minutes. Then, in the last 20 minutes, I offer hands-on or hands-off Reiki (based on the person's choice) while people lie down in Savasana. Reiki at the end of the class adds a very special touch and makes the class very unique.
Each class has been carefully designed to support the following set of long-term goals:

The classes end by lying down in Savasana, the final resting pose in every class. If Reiki is included in the class, it is during this time that attendees have the chance to experience Reiki, a hands-on Japanese healing technique that promotes relaxation through gentle touch.
